For 30 years, Chris worked in the forestry industry, most recently as a superintendent for Canfor’s operations around Houston, B.C., responsible for everything from permitting to road construction to the delivery of fiber to the mill.
He retired in 2006, and enjoyed two carefree years before being coaxed back into business by Rick Sr.
From 2008-2010, Chris managed Ketek’s enormous groundwater control contract for the construction of the Scotford upgrader, north of Edmonton. He appreciates the precision of engineering, so his work inclines toward pumps, piping and mechanical systems.
