Buying a Well Pump

And there’s another fact that sets Ketek apart: If you purchase a well pump from a supplier, you get a pump end, motor, lead set, and possibly the spliced power cable. If you purchase a pump from Ketek, you get all of that plus the benefit of 20 years of experience assembling, testing, installing and operating well pumps.

One of the most important considerations when installing a well pump is the splice. Ketek’s splicing method has been proven through the testing and operation of hundreds of pumps. Prior to leaving our facility, the pump is submerged and the splice is “meggered.” Meggers are used to troubleshoot a well pump motor’s resistance to ground. It is a far superior testing method than using a standard ohmmeter.

Every pump sold by Ketek is tested in a 90m3 test tank and compared in both flow and pressure to the factory pump curve. A report can be provided upon request.

A well pumping solution might require large quantities of equipment or specific custom built units. Ketek strives to meet the needs of our clients no matter the scale of the job. 

Ketek can tie-in the pumping well to an existing water line, direct the outflow into a tank or discharge the water kilometres away. Each job has its specific application and Ketek has solutions to meet these requirements.
