Course Description
The Aerial Work Platform course is made up of procedures, supervisor’s guidance and mentoring and includes applicable inspection forms and a written test. Upon certification, participants will have:
- Knowledge: Understand the requirements of Aerial Work Platform training, and recognize the hazards associated with operation of an Aerial Work Platform.
- Skills: Assess and control these hazards, know how to inspect and use an Aerial Work Platform.
- Proper Behaviour: Be safe and responsible while using an Aerial Work Platform.
There will be a practical component including inspection and use of the Aerial Work Platform.
Using Aerial Work Platforms safely requires knowledge, skill, and a commitment to safety.
Any personnel who will be required to operate an Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
Prerequisites: Fall Prevention.

Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training course price:
$150.00
Advertised prices are based on course delivery within 50 km of Edmonton. Cost may vary based on client needs and location. Course length may vary depending on class size, student interaction, and skill level of participants.

Upon successful completion of basic Aerial Work Platform course, a certificate of completion will be provided.
Re-certification: Every three years
All students are required to bring government-issued identification. If verification is not provided, the student will not be permitted to take the course.
Cancellation: 24-hours notice is required for all cancellations
- Late arrivals that are denied entrance to the class, or who fail to attend the class without notification (no-shows), will forfeit the full course fee.
- Qualified substitutions will be allowed up to the course start date in lieu of forfeitures.
- Fall Prevention certificate is required.
