FAQs
Do I need a licence for water pumping?
Yes! In Alberta, you generally need a water license from the Government of Alberta to pump water from a surface or groundwater source. Licenses are managed under the provincial Water Act. Water legislation and guidelines
How do I choose the right centrifugal pump model?
To select the right pump, you need to know the required flow rate and calculate the total head — which includes vertical lift, friction losses from pipes and fittings, and any pressure needed at the outlet. Learn more in The Science of Pumping Water.
